OYO Instruments Acquires EcoPRO

Imaging Corporation Business

Enters into Thermal Film Distribution Alliance

OYO Geospace Corporation (NASDAQ: OYOG) today announced that its seismic and commercial graphics thermal imaging business, OYO Instruments, LP, has acquired the operating assets and business of EcoPRO Imaging Corporation. Furthermore, OYO Instruments entered into a three-year global thermal film supply and distribution alliance with Labelon Corporation.

The EcoPRO business distributes EcoPRO brand name thermal plotters and film. The acquisition will be accounted for as a purchase and is expected to be accretive to earnings per share.

Under terms of the film supply and distribution alliance, OYO Instruments will become a worldwide distributor of Labelon thermal film to both the seismic and commercial graphics markets. The agreement calls for both OYO Instruments and Labelon to collaborate on the development of new thermal plotters and film for the seismic and commercial graphics marketplace.

OYO Geospace designs and manufactures instruments and equipment used in the acquisition and processing of seismic data for the oil and gas industry and for the commercial graphics industry worldwide.

Labelon Corporation designs, manufactures, and sells dry, direct thermally imaged films for use in the commercial graphics, medical and tag, ticket and label markets.
